Hi! We are Gen and Maba-chan, Sailorquasar and Sailorpulsar. Laurel-san has asked us to host the radio show for the SMD soundtrack, and we were more than happy to oblige. Ever since she began her character website, she has been picking songs for her characters, so this part of the site will be no exception.
Glen: Stop speaking in unison! You'll wake up Mothra.
Gen and Maba: ::mischievous giggles::
WARNING: Laurel-san is a big heavy metal/hard rock/80's/Charlotte Church/anime/country music fan, and she chose all of the songs, so if you don't like that kind of
music, you probably won't like the soundtrack. How sad for you. ~_^
These wavs are in a format called an MPEG Layer 3. While they are NOT mp3's, they can be played on an mp3 player. If you want to be able to play them on another program, like Sound Recorder, you need to have the Netshow Plug-In installed on your computer. You will know if you do not have Netshow, because you will get an error message when you try to play these wavs. If that happens, go to download.com and get yourself the Netshow Plug-In.
These sound files are hosted at Box.net. When you click the link, you'll be directed to a download page. Click the download button and there you go!
Without further ado, our first song is the opening theme to Sailormoon Dark.
"Ai No Senshi" -- the credits version!
190kb Lyrics
This is the short version, like actual opening credits to a tv show. Laurel-san even put a couple of voiceovers on the track of herself saying, "Sailormoon Dark" and "A fanseason written by Laurel Wilson." ^_^ She echoed both of them. The "SMD" part is a little hard to understand unless you know what she's whispering. We think it sounds pretty cool though. ^_^
"Ai No Senshi" -- karoake version 524 kb
The karoake version of "Ai No Senshi." This would be used as background music for many battle scenes and such.
For the Princess 311kb
Excellent background music for many sad moments in SMD. This is an instrumental version of the Sailorstars theme song.
Triumphant Eternal SM music 261kb
This music was used in Sailorstars for some moments concerning Eternal Sailormoon. It is the perfect music for several triumphant moments in SMD.
A sad midi for sad moments 4.35kb
This is a sad piece of music from Sailormoon S. For some reason, there is a misconception on the internet that this song is called, "Mercury no Tojou," but it is not; "Mercury no Tojou" is a completely different piece of music. No one seems to know the title of this song because it is not included on any of the CDs. :( This midi is about as close as we can get to having it. We think the music would fit many sad moments in SMD. In fact, it makes us cry everytime we hear it. ::sniffle::
The Star Locket Music 72.5kb
The music of the star locket. It would fit many moments in SMD. That's why it's here. ~_^
"Release Me" by Wilson Phillips
935kb Lyrics
The song 'Nori-san listens to on the radio during Episode 4. Laurel cut the song so it
would end like the radio version did. (This is a radio show after all!)
"Thunderbird" by Quiet Riot 681kb
Lyrics
Another one of 'Nori's songs, because the lyrics heavily remind her of her situation with Mamoru-san.
Almost Over You 832kb
Lyrics
A song for a future episode, Sheena Easton's "Almost Over You." Again, this song deals with Nori and her feelings for Mamoru-san. You get the sense that Nori's fooling herself with this one? Hey Nori-san, denial is not just a river in Egypt.
"Dream a Dream" 664kb
Lyrics
The duet sung by our good friends Nezumi and Adrianna Kyomu in episode 12. This song was actually performed by Charlotte Church and Billy Gilman;
Charlotte represents Nezumi's voice and Billy represents Adrianna's voice. The first voice you hear is Charlotte.
"Pie Jesu" 585kb
Lyrics
The requiem that Nezumi-chan sings in episode 12 (actually performed by Charlotte Church). This is the song that sets off Kitaeru-san's vision.
Sailorblackhole and Sailorhathor 521kb
The theme music of our beautiful grandiose senshi partners, Blackhole and Hathor. This is the haunting music that Kitaeru-san hears during her vision in episode 12. The music came from the movie The Amityville Horror; it was just so perfect for these characters that Laurel had to use it.
Kikan on the piano 372kb
An example of Kikan-chan's lovely piano playing. This is actually Tori Amos, from her song "Icicle."
"We're Not Gonna Take It" performed by Twisted Sister
519kb Lyrics
If you could imagine SMD as a real TV show, this song would accompany one of those "montage" scenes where Haruka finally gets fed up with the evil Elemental Senshi attacks and takes matters into her own hands. Go Haruka-sama go!
"Almost Like a Song" by Ronnie Milsap
839kb Lyrics
A song used near the end of the series when two lovers are separated for they know not how long; at that time, they are not even sure they're on the same side anymore. (We're trying not to spoil the story for you!)
Image Songs and Character Theme Music
That famous La La La music! 89kb
Hotaru's famous theme, "Holy Grail," with all the la la la's. This music would be used for several dramatic Hotaru and Saturn moments. It would also be used for Miraisaturn, since she is Hotaru's daughter.
Outer Senshi theme music 82.9kb
Some music associated with the Outer Senshi, especially Uranus and Neptune. This could be associated with the Mirai Outer Senshi too, since they are the daughters of the original Outers.
More Outer Senshi music 213kb
Yet more music associated with the Outer Senshi. Laurel-san calls this the "ch ch" music because of, well, the "ch ch" part. :D
A second Image Song for Sailorcharon 810kb
Lyrics
"Ordinary World" by Duran Duran. Laurel's friend Snow-san (Sailor Charon) suggested this one for Ruki, so she checked it out. Most of the lyrics heavily relate to Sailorcharon's life.
Sailorrhea's Image Song 877kb
Lyrics
"Mystery" by Dio. A great deal of the lyrics relate to her relationship with a certain... tree...
Witches Image Song 934kb
Lyrics
"Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler. Specifically, this is the Image Song of the Witches, but it could effectively be the anthem for all of the senshi.
Sailordarkcosmos' Theme Music 288kb
This is originally music from the movie Independence Day. It fit Darkcosmos so perfectly that Laurel had to use it. It's so menacing. ^_^
Theme of the Sailorskulls 332kb
And Sailoraltrusia and Paku, too. This music comes from the Scream soundtrack, and is called "Sidney's Lament."
"Pie Jesu" 585kb
Lyrics
Nezumi Kyomu's (Sailorblackhole's) Image Song, which would often accompany her attacks and various appearances in the story (performed by Charlotte Church).
Sailorhathor's Image Song 587kb
Lyrics
"Mirror Mirror (Look into My Eyes)" by Def Leppard. Several things in the lyrics remind Laurel-san of her.
Sailorblackhole and Sailorhathor 521kb
The theme music of Blackhole and Hathor. The music came from the movie The Amityville Horror; it was just so perfect for these characters that Laurel had to use it. This music
would play during certain attacks and appearances in the story, especially dramatic ones. Hathor uses this music exclusively, while Blackhole has this and additional music.
The transformation music of Team Galileo
78.8kb
Part of the song "Unbelievable" by EMF. The lyrics are, "You're unbelievable." That's about it. :D At least for this section of the song.
Outer Senshi transformation music 229kb
The classic transformation music for the Outer senshi. This is also the henshin music for the Mirai Outers.
Last Senshi Group Transform 532kb
At any time that the Last Senshi transform as a group, this is their transformation music. "Switch 625," an instrumental performed by Def Leppard and written by Steve Clark.
Sailorsparta's Transformation Music 98.4kb
When Sparta transforms alone, this is her music. She transforms first when the Last Senshi henshin as a group.
Sailorjuno's Transformation Music 85.6kb
Juno's music for when she transforms alone. When the Last Senshi henshin together, she transforms second.
Sailorminerva's Transformation Music 95.1kb
Time for Sailorminerva to henshin alone? This is her music! She henshins third when the Last Senshi transform as a group.
Sailorsun's Transformation Music 96.3kb
Sun's lone transformation music. When the Last Senshi henshin together, Sun transforms fourth.
Sailorvulcan's Transformation Music 74.6kb
The music that Vulcan transforms to alone. She transforms last when the Last Senshi henshin together.
Witches Transformation 74.6kb
The Witches' transformation music, part of the song "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler. Sailoryule is the only one who does not use this music individually; her henshin music will be put up later.
Longer Witch Transformation 182kb
Lyrics
A longer piece of the song "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler for times when the Witches transform together, or all attack at the same time.
All purpose transformation 124kb
For now, all purpose transformation music for anyone who does not have specific music yet. This is the henshin music of a character from Devil Hunter Yohko, and it was just so perfect that Laurel-san had to use it.
Winter Crystal Deafening 315kb
Laurel's not sure how this music was originally used in the series, but it is some sort of music for Sailorsaturn, apparently. Here, she's using it as the theme music for Sailormiraisaturn's power, Winter Crystal Deafening.
Hypnotized yet? 140kb
Music that would accompany Baby Baby Love's attack with the swirly sucker that hypnotizes senshi into doing her bidding. It is quite hypnotic, isn't
it? This is a portion of the song, "Strangers" by Portishead.
"Pie Jesu" 585kb
Lyrics
Sailorblackhole's attack music, one of a few songs associated with her (performed by Charlotte Church).
Sailorblackhole and Sailorhathor 521kb
The theme and/or attack music of Blackhole and Hathor. The music came from the movie The Amityville Horror; it was just so perfect for these characters that Laurel had to use it. This music would play during certain attacks and appearances in the story, especially dramatic ones. Hathor uses this music exclusively, while Blackhole has this and additional music.
Laurel-san's music policy: You can take as many of these songs as you like and use them any way you want. Especially the songs from the Sailor Moon series; Laurel certainly has no claim to those! If you want to use the songs on your website, you may do so, BUT DO NOT link to them directly on Laurel's server. Download them and upload them to your OWN server. Please don't be a bandwidth thief. Also, if you want to use the songs to represent your own characters, Laurel doesn't mind so much because she really has no claim over a particular song. BUT, she would like for these songs (the non-Sailor Moon ones) to stay as unique as possible to her characters, so please exercise some originality and try not to use too many for your own characters. She understands there are sometimes coincidences, though, and that often people pick the same songs because they both like them. Of course, if you use any songs from this page, please give Laurel's site a link. She's the one who made these wavs, after all. ^_^
